Rev. Father Roderick Vana from Ambene Village, Kokoda District, Popondetta, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. He is the CEO of Kokoda Trail Adventures and Trekking Limited.
He is a professionally trained tour Manager /operator. He gained his Internationally recognised Australian Qualification in Tourism Operations at the Australia Pacific Technical college in Apia Campus, Samoa in 2009.
He is also an ordained Priest in the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea. He gained his Pastoral work experience in Australia under the Anglican Doard of Mission - Australia (ABMA) Exchange Program in 2004 and served in the Dioceases of Sydney and Brisbane.
He is the last born son of a family of seven. His father, Samson Waraho Orotu was one of the World War 2 carriers, famousely known as the "Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels". His father took part as a stretcher bearer from Buna to Kokoda and Port Moresby at the Kokoda Battle Campaign during the second world war from 1942 - 1945.
